VGC was appointed to provide emergency response teams to deal with incidents on roads and footways throughout Westminster. VGC’s trained staff patrolled the City of Westminster twenty-four hours, three hundred and sixty five days a year, to deal with issue whenever they occurred.

In 2012, VGC expanded its capability by becoming ASLEC accredited to enable us to carry out maintenance and construction work on street lights and illuminated signage.

The City of Westminster is one of the busiest London boroughs, covering a large area. Many sites commonly associated with London are located within its limits including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and 10 Downing Street.

The city is busy throughout the day and night, and over the course of a year there are thousands of incidents which can affect the safety of roads and footways. These incidents can range from a pothole appearing in a road, damage caused to street furniture by road traffic accidents, or fallen trees and branches following high winds.
