We’re shortlisted for two Construction Investing in Talent awards

VGC has been selected as a finalist in two categories in the 2016 Construction Investing in Talent Awards.

We are among the finalists in the categories ‘Best Place to Work’ and ‘Best Retention Strategy’. We are one of nine companies shortlisted for ‘Best Place to Work’, and one of only two in ‘Best Retention Strategy’.

This new award scheme was created by Construction News and New Civil Engineer to highlight best practice in attracting and retaining talent within construction and engineering.

Construction News editor Rebecca Evans said: “This year’s shortlist demonstrates just how hard businesses across the whole industry are working to attract, retain and develop the best talent. The initiatives highlighted by our finalists demonstrate the all-too-often unsung creativity of the people behind the projects. We can’t wait to celebrate all their achievements at the awards in December – and to reveal the winners.”

“We are honoured to have been shortlisted for these two awards”, said Ciara Pryce, VGC Group Services director. “We work hard to ensure that all staff know their skills are valued, and to give them sustainable employment and job satisfaction. By encouraging people to learn and improve their skills, and promoting internally, we retain an excellent workforce and support succession planning for our future business.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House hotel in London on 8 December.
