I’m proud of two of my men who helped a sick woman recently.
David Walsh and Andrew Donnelly came across an unconscious woman lying on the road as they were going home at the end of their shift. It turned out she was having an asthma attack. They called the emergency services and put her into the recovery position. Then they set up a traffic management system, including positioning their van across the road, and stayed there to keep her safe until the ambulance arrived.
Andrew and Dave work in Grimsby on the north Lincolnshire Network Rail resignalling project for Siemens. They’re valuable team members and this is an example of their sensible clear thinking and willingness to help other people. I’m proud of them.
