I feel my first shift went very well, I got a good report in my PTS [personal track safety] handbook and I feel I handled the nature of the work and the demands of the job itself.
VGC are a great company with a great skilled work fleet as I have seen on my shifts. The shifts boost my experience as well as my skills.
Alan Morris started working for VGC after successfully completing his NVQ railway engineering training at Edinburgh College. He is now working for VGC Labour Solutions on the £650M EGIP project to improve Scotland’s railway infastructure.
Sean Dempsey, contracts supervisor for VGC, said: “Alan is doing well. We are getting positive feedback from site regarding his attitude and how he presents himself, which is very pleasing.”
