VGC supplied plumbers, pipe fitters, electricians and trade mates to Hilton Building Services for the Netherton Grove extension to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Hilton Building Services was contracted to Galliford Try to provide the M & E component of the project. VGC has been pleased to work on this project which includes four new state-of-the-art children’s operating theatres, a 12-bed children’s high dependency unit and a new 19-bed adult ward including all single bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital was opened in 1993 and brought together staff, services and equipment from five London hospitals. The hospital displays many treasures from the hospitals it replaced providing a lasting reminder of its historic roots.
Since its opening twenty years ago, the hospital has continued to expand with new facilities being built to support the improvements in medical technology over the past two decades, and the needs of the local population. The Netherton Grove Extension which opened in 2012 provides a significant improvement to the hospital’s capabilities and the service it can contribute to the community.
