VGC Group – Appointed Person (AP)
Project: TRU (Transpennine Route Upgrade)
Location: Huddersfield, Yorkshire – HD1 6LD
Start Date: ASAP
VGC Group is currently looking for an experienced Appointed Person (AP) to join the TRU project in Huddersfield.
Requirements:
The suitable candidate must hold:
CPCS Blue Card OR NPORS with CSCS logo
Proven relevant experience, ideally from a Crane Supervisor / Appointed Person background
Pay & Hours:
Rate: £25.00 per hour PAYE (may be negotiable depending on experience)
Duties will include:
Planning lifting operations, considering ground conditions, site access/egress, proximity hazards, and other ongoing construction activities
Approving all risk assessments, lift plans, lift categorisation, and method statements
Managing lifting equipment and facilities, and coordinating emergency services when required
Overseeing the execution and safety of lifting operations (may be delegated where appropriate)
Candidates must provide:
Proof of right to work in the UK
Valid qualifications and tickets required for the role
