VGC Group are currently recruiting for an experienced General Driver to join a project based in OX18, Oxford.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working driver looking for work, with consistent weekday hours and the potential for weekend work.
We are looking for someone who can start promptly, work well as part of a team, and support site operations to help keep the project running safely and efficiently.
Pay Rate: £17.38 per hour PAYE
As a General Driver on site, your responsibilities may include:
- Safely transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to and from site
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are maintained in good condition
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
- Supporting site teams with general duties when required
- Ensuring compliance with all site and road safety regulations
- Planning routes and managing time efficiently to meet site requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and collections
- Carrying out any other duties as required to support site operations
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid full UK driving licence
- Previous experience working as a driver, ideally within a construction environmen
- A good work ethic and positive attitude
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Good punctuality and reliability
