Job Title: Skilled Operative – Fabrication
VGC Group are looking for Fabrication General Operatives to start on a project in Hereford. This contract is available to start ASAP and we can offer up to 5 years worth of work to a successful candidate.
Role: Fabrication General Operative
Location: Hereford
Salary: £14.42 per hour PAYE
Experience: 2 years +
Qualifications: Green CSCS
Role Purpose:
Operate factory machinery, including manual and CNC, safely and efficiently as part of the steel fabrication team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC and manual equipment to fabricate steelwork.
Work as part of a team, performing various tasks.
Move materials and support operations in the Fabrication, Bundling & Overhead Line Stores area.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Produce quality products in line with the Quality Management System.
Meet production demands efficiently.
Contribute to continuous improvement and waste reduction.
Perform other duties as required.
Essential Qualities & Experience:
Positive, enthusiastic, and reliable.
Willingness to learn and embrace new ideas.
Team player with self-motivation.
Proficient with air and electric hand tools, grinders, etc.
Ability to read drawings and complete related documentation.
Good understanding of Health and Safety practices.
