Setting out Engineer
Based in Bedford
3 – 4 month contract
£300 – 350 per day
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Limited Company contractor on a contract basis. They are looking for someone who is available to start immediately and have their own kit to supply. It will be working on a building project looking after the foundation works.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
- Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed
- Setting out and surveying
- Manage distribution of information
- Write and approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
- Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders
- Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
- Liaise with other Sections to ensure a smooth flow of work.
- Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Setting out foundations experience
- Check foundations
- Able to provide own equipment
- CSCS card
- NVQ Level 4 or above
- Line and level survey experience
- Able to produce QA reports, completing engineering documentation
- Water experience preferred.
