Site Engineer
Location – Various sites across Sussex & Kent
Salary up to £60,000 per annum plus additional benefits

My client are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work on their setting up of UKPN and Water framework projects in the Kent and Sussex area. The Project has a value in excess of £100m and is a demanding engineering role. 

Site Engineer Key Responsibilities: 

  • Site Layout and Planning: Assist in the development of site layout plans, ensuring proper placement of structures and utilities in accordance with design specifications and regulations.

  • Quality Control and Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local building codes. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets approved designs and specifications.

  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and labor resources.

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and address any technical issues or construction challenges on-site, providing effective solutions to keep the project on track.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work progress, site activities, and any changes or issues. Provide regular updates to senior management and ensure proper documentation for inspections, approvals, and compliance.

Site Engineer Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles to ensure quality and efficiency on-site.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and quality.

  • Project Management Skills: Proficient in coordinating resources, managing schedules, and overseeing multiple tasks to ensure the timely delivery of construction projects.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing technical drawings, conducting inspections, and ensuring work aligns with project specifications and safety standards.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for effectively liaising with team members, contractors, clients, and stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and efficient working environment.
