Jack Ridley has won the bronze medal in this year’s World Muaythai Championship, and been made England team captain.
After getting to the semi-finals of the twelfth annual international Thai boxing championship, held in March this year in the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Jack was placed third in the pro-am championships. He is also proud to have been selected to captain the English team.
Jack started training aged 16 and has continued ever since. Ten years later, all the hard work is paying off. He thanked VGC for sponsoring him, as well as his colleagues in the rail delivery team on the long welded rail train for their support.
“Third in the world wasn’t too bad at all,” he says. “Looks like I’ll be back next year!”
