VGC acknowledges the risks to health arising from exposure to asbestos.

We commit to undertaking all that is reasonably practicable to protect staff, contractors and all other third parties from risks to their health from exposure to asbestos. No employee of the Group or its subsidiaries shall carry out direct work on Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s).

If any employee suspects that the materials they are working with contain asbestos, then they must stop work and report it to their supervisor, who must seek advice from the client.

Any sampling shall be undertaken by approved licensed contractor.

All asbestos-related work shall be conducted by competent third-parties and, if the work requires a licence, by approved licensed contractors.

Only approved waste carriers and licensed contractors shall be appointed where asbestos containing material disposal is required
