Natalie Sultana, SCS; Dave Smith, Costain; Wayne Lewis, BounceBack; Kimberley McGinty, VGC; Megan Prigmore, CSJV

In autumn 2018, Costain, BounceBack and VGC Group set up a new working group, the Infrastructure Employment Forum. The forum co-ordinates employment for ex-offenders across construction projects and companies.

Mission: to provide a national collaborative recruitment and education gateway within the construction industry, for those with criminal convictions.

The programme provides careers and job-search advice, and works with the probation service and relevant partner organisations to find housing and additional support to help people get their lives back on track.

Together we aim to create more opportunities for ex-offenders to

  • gain long term sustainable employment
  • achieve economic independence
  • positively contribute to society.

We share best practice, aiming to scale the projects together to provide industry sustainability.

Major industry businesses and influencers have joined the IEF.
