What sort of data is collected?

This data consists of information such as your name, address, e-mail address, and employment details We may also request further information which may include bank details, right to work, employment references and history and future job preferences. Information about your bank and your right to work is only seen by a limited number of VGC Group employees.
We are an employment business and a member of the REC (the Recruitment and Employment Confederation), so we are entitled to obtain background information and request lawful checks if required by our clients. In some cases, we may outsource this to a third party.
Personal information provided by you is retained as long as the purpose for which the data was collected continues. It is then archived or destroyed unless its retention is required to satisfy audit, legal, regulatory or accounting requirements or to protect VGC Group’s interests. VGC Group will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others unless you have given us your permission.
V G Clements Contractors Limited and VGC Personnel are registered as a data controllers with the Office of the Information Commissioner. This requires us to follow the Data Protection Act 1998.
