We provided an attenuation tank to improve the drainage on this site.
The scope of works included:
- excavation and installation of a 16m x 16m x 4mtr deep attenuation tank
- associated deep drainage pipe
- 3 metre deep manholes
- 950 metres of below ground services
- 25 no access pits
The project was the first phase in an overall development plan to demolish the existing Power Road Studios, and re-build a brand new state-of-the-art 60,000 sq ft multi-let office campus called Studio 5.
Challenging logistics
The project was challenging because of limited space, an adjacent car park with shared access, and a number of high profile tenants on site.
Our teams had to plan vehicle movements in and out of the site well in advance with the tenant management organisation Ashdown Phillips.
Despite the challenges, the project was completed on time and on budget, without any injuries.
VGC established a very positive working relationship throughout with the client and also the tenants on site. A director of project management consultancy, Blackburn & Co, who represented the client, said: “You guys are doing a good job, so thanks”.
