VGC was appointed as a framework contractor to undertake footway and drainage works throughout the City of Westminster.
The work included high quality paving using natural stone, and the upgrading of road and footway drainage. The drainage works typically involved replacement of existing gulley pots with modern equivalents and connecting these into the main sewer ensuring full functionality. On completion all road surfaces were made good.

As part of the framework we worked in highly visible locations, including Savoy Place, The Strand and Parliament Square. In Covent Garden our team salvaged 19th century cobble stones and relayed them on a new concrete sub-structure.
All of the works were carried out to exacting standards in a busy environment with minimum disruption. We set up stringent control measures to ensure that the public was not exposed to any danger.
All personnel complied with the New Road and Street Works Act (NRSWA).

This contract is an example of VGC’s ability to install high class finishes for an exacting client in a difficult urban environment.
