Our team working on Thames Tideway east has achieved Costain’s prestigious ‘Defining Blue’ status again.
They gained the accolade for their work during the second half of 2020. It follows Costain Blue status for the whole of 2019.
The award is for exceptional performance over successive quarters in areas including quality, safety, people, health and environment.
Our team, led by labour manager Donatas Jausicas, achieved the high standards for every quarter of 2019. After sites returned to work in 2020, they met the criteria again for the second half of the year.
We are working for client Costain Vinci Bachy Soletanche JV on the east works package of the Thames Tideway tunnel, from Abbey Mills to Chambers Wharf.
“This is a tribute to the whole team,” said director Chris Ryan. “Congratulations and thanks to Chris, Donatas, our key influencers Mohammed Hasan and Binyam Gebresilassie, and all our workforce. I’m proud of them all, and delighted that our clients have recognised their hard work.”
Head of delivery Chris O’Sullivan said: “Thanks to all of the workers on Thames Tideway for their dedication and hard work, which are a key part of making this a successful project.”
Costain’s supply chain manager emailed: “Thank you for your consistent high performance”.
