Commissioning Engineer EC&I – CUMBRIA – TEMPORARY 1 YEAR+

VGC Group Limited are looking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer EC&I on a temporary 1 year+ contract for an international infrastructure group delivering the UK’s power generation solutions based in Cumbria.

You will play a key part of the team working on one of the most important construction projects on site looking to safely design and deliver requirements in line with the needs of the Client.

Accountabilities

  • Oversee vendor testing by witnessing works tests.
  • Develop test specifications for plant commissioning.
  • Conduct early inspections of site installations to enable system handovers.
  • Perform testing activities during the IPC commissioning phase.
  • Identify faults and recommend and implement effective solutions.
  • Coordinate commissioning technicians and supporting resources.
  • Initiate and implement Field Observation Bulletins (FOBs).
  • Validate Working Level Instructions.
  • Manage the application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids.

Requirements

  • Nuclear EC&I systems commissioning
  • Minimum – HNC / HND in Engineering related subject or equivalent
  • Experience in Nuclear commissioning
  • Project management knowledge (preferably APM member)
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite / Excel etc
  • IOSH working / managing safely is essential
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • ECS Supervisory card
  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance
