Role: Contracts Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £64,000 per annum plus car allowance and other additional benefits.
My Client are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team to work on multiple projects in the South West area.
Contracts Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all contractual activities for multiple highways projects, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Support the Project Manager in contract negotiations, amendments, and execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives and cost-efficiency.
- Administer contract documentation, including preparation, review, and approval of contracts, subcontracts, and variations to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Monitor project budgets and costs in alignment with contract terms, identifying potential financial risks and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met by all parties, coordinating with legal, finance, and procurement teams to manage claims, disputes, and resolutions.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure clarity on contract scope, terms, and deliverables.
- Conduct regular audits of contracts and project performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and promoting cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
Contracts Manager Competencies:
Contract Negotiation & Management Expertise Skilled in negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts, with extensive experience in the highways sector, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
Financial Acumen Strong ability to manage project budgets, track contract costs, and align financial reporting with contractual obligations to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Risk Management Proficient in identifying contractual risks and liabilities, and developing proactive strategies to minimize disruptions and financial exposure during project execution.
Regulatory Compliance Knowledgeable in legal and regulatory frameworks governing highways projects, ensuring all contracts adhere to industry standards, laws, and best practices.
Communication & Stakeholder Management Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of contractual terms, expectations, and project progress.
Attention to Detail Meticulous in reviewing and managing contract documents, ensuring accuracy in terms, conditions, and project deliverables, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
