Pay Rate:
£19.46 per hour (first 39 hours)
£29.19 per hour (1.5x after 39 hours)
Saturday:
First 4 hours: £29.19 (1.5x)
Remaining hours: £38.92 (2x)
Sunday: £38.92 (2x)
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting an experienced Ganger to join our team on an active construction project at TS10 5QW. This is a key supervisory role, responsible for overseeing site operatives and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Role Overview
As a Ganger, you will lead a small team of operatives, coordinating daily tasks and ensuring all work aligns with project requirements and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising and coordinating site operatives
Ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
Allocating daily tasks and monitoring progress
Liaising with site management and reporting updates
Maintaining high standards of quality and productivity
Conducting basic site paperwork and records where required
Promoting a safe and organised working environment
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Ganger or in a supervisory role on construction sites
Strong understanding of construction processes and health & safety
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Valid CSCS card (essential)
SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable but not essential)
Valid Right to Work in the UK
