Project Manager
Location: Stansted Airport
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to support the delivery of airfield civil engineering and maintenance projects across the AGS Airport Framework, with potential involvement at Stansted Airport depending on workload requirements. The successful candidate will oversee both pre-construction and project delivery activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget in a live airport operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery Responsibilities
– Lead and coordinate the safe delivery of seasonal airfield maintenance works, including surfacing, pavement repairs, and Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) repairs
– Manage the successful delivery of resurfacing schemes and large-scale pavement (PQ) projects within operational airfield environments.
– Coordinate with commercial, planning, operational, and site delivery teams to ensure effective project execution.
– Ensure compliance with all airport safety regulations, operational procedures, and quality standards.
– Monitor programme performance, project risks, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve successful project outcomes.
– Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, subcontractors, airport authorities, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
– Valid UK Driving Licence
– CSCS Card
– SMSTS Certification
– Ability to obtain and maintain Airside Pass clearance
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
– Previous surfacing and airfield experience
– Experience delivering PQ pavement projects
– Knowledge of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems
– Pre-construction and tendering experience
– Black CSCS Card
– Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
– Lifting Appointed Person (AP)
– First Aid Certification
