Senior Quantity Surveyor

£65-£70k plus car allowance
40hrs per week – Site-based – Mon-Fri
We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering the civils work on the Harker Substation project.
Duties
- Managing all costs relating to the building and civil engineering projects
- Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget
- Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes and cost control mechanisms
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Experience of NEC 4 Option A
