Site Engineer

Job Type – Permanent

Location – sites in Hadleigh, Rede and Depden

My client is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on the Strategic Pipeline Alliance project.

Your day to day will include:

Health & Safety

  • SHEQ – Support the Senior Site Engineers to deliver exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance
  • Attention to detail – Responsibility for the product. This includes all matters of quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements.

Technical

  • Day to day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks and approvals.
  • Supporting the Senior Site Engineers to liaison with the Engineering and Integration team to resolve conflicts and ensure work is carried out in line with specifications and drawings.
  • Assisting the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management, liaising with commercial, procurement and planning teams and supply chain management.
  • Supporting the Senior Site Engineers to calling off materials, stock control etc. and liaising with procurement team to ensure orders are not exceeded without authority
  • Technical expertise – Technical assistance on site to the Site Agent, Engineers, direct labour, and specialist subcontractors.
  • Innovative – Knowledge and experience of innovative setting out techniques and can offer a production mindset on a construction site.

Collaborative Working & Problem Solving

  • Problem Solver – Having a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  • Collaborative working – Supporting the Site Agent and supervisors with day to day running of the site.

Personal Behaviours & Skills:

  • Can demonstrate experience of being part of large-scale infrastructure programmes of work
  • Can take on a leadership role and work with the site agent to help deliver on-site safety, productivity, quality and culture at all times.
  • Has the ability to plan ahead and effectively delegate tasks to the engineering team.
  • Has a can-do attitude and enthusiasm to innovate and get the job done!
  • Experience (optional) of Temporary Works supervision or lifting supervision
