Slinger / Signaller
Location: South Shields
Pay Rate: CIS pay – Negotiable
Start Date: 14/09/2026
We’re looking for an experienced Slinger / Signaller to join an energy project based in South Shields, working on concrete trough installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely sling, lift and move loads in accordance with lifting plans
- Act as the designated Slinger / Signaller during lifting operations
- Use recognised signalling methods to communicate effectively with plant operators
- Inspect lifting accessories before use and report any defects
- Ensure loads are correctly secured, balanced and safely positioned
- Maintain safe exclusion zones around lifting operations
- Assist with positioning and installation of concrete troughs and materials
- Work closely with crane and plant operators, supervisors and groundworkers
- Ensure lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently
- Report any hazards or unsafe lifting practices immediately
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
- Follow all site health & safety and environmental requirements
Requirements
- Valid CPCS Card – Slinger / Signaller – all types / all duties
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
