VGC Group are currently recruiting for a Supervisor / Ganger to join our clients team on their new project in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire.

Pay Rate: £21.40 per hour PAYE
Hours: Monday – Friday 7am-5pm
Start Date: ASAP
Lodge and Travel is not available for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
– Supervising day-to-day earthworks activities and ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
– Leading and coordinating teams of operatives, subcontractors and plant operators.
– Managing and monitoring heavy earthmoving plant operations including excavators, dumpers, dozers, rollers and associated equipment.
– Ensuring all earthworks activities are delivered in line with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.
– Conducting regular team briefings, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
– Carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
– Implementing and maintaining safe systems of work, RAMS and environmental controls.
– Managing resources effectively, including labour, plant and materials.
– Monitoring productivity and progress against programme targets.
– Maintaining accurate records including permits, inspections, daily reports and timesheets.
– Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
– Identifying and resolving on-site issues relating to ground conditions, earthworks activities and plant operations.
– Following all safety protocols and ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
– Reporting incidents, near misses and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
To be considered for this role you must have:
-Valid CSCS Gold card
-SSSTS/SMSTS
-First Aid (Desirable)
