Christmas Payroll

The VGC Offices will be closing on Monday 23rd December 2024 and will reopen on Thursday 2nd January 2025.

During this time there will be no payroll runs. Please see the details below of how and when your payments will be processed.​​​

Payment of accrued annual leave

  • As the VGC offices are closed over the Christmas period, no payroll runs will take place. Therefore, VGC will advance a payment of up to 7 days annual leave to cover the shutdown period, Monday 23rd December 2024–Tuesday 31st December 2024.
  • The payment for annual leave will go into your bank accounts on Friday 13th December 2024 (or Friday 20th December 2024 for all staff on Sellafield projects.)
  • If you do not have the full 7 days annual leave accrued, you will be paid the remaining balance of your holiday account only.  
  • All annual leave must be used before the end of the year. No annual leave can be carried forward into 2025.
