2025 Christmas and New Year Payroll Arrangements

It’s that time of year again! As we head into the festive season, we’d like to share an update on VGC’s payroll arrangements over the Christmas and New Year period, so you know exactly when to expect payments and what action may be needed.

This information is especially important for contracted candidates working during the holiday period.


Payroll at a Glance

  • VGC offices closed: Wednesday 24 December 2025
  • Offices reopen: Friday 2 January 2026
  • Payroll runs during closure: None
  • Week 36 & 37: Annual leave payments included (project dependent)
  • Week 38: Split payroll run (timesheet deadline applies)

Office Closure Dates

The VGC offices will be closed from Wednesday 24 December 2025 and will reopen on Friday 2 January 2026.

During this time, there will be no payroll runs, so it’s important to check the schedule below to understand when your payment will be processed, including the Week 36 annual leave payment covering the construction industry shutdown period.

Timesheets received by 1:00pm on Monday 22 December 2025 will be processed and paid Monday 29 December 2025.


Timesheets received after 1:00pm on Monday 22 December 2025 will be processed in the new year, with payment made Wednesday 7 January 2026.


Important Reminder

All payment dates are dependent on the timely receipt of timesheets from our clients.

Where timesheets are received earlier than expected, the payroll team will do their best to process and pay earlier than the dates listed above.
