VGC Group have won the Irish Post Business Award in recognition of our expertise in providing a skilled workforce and services to major construction projects, focussing on safety, quality and sustainability in our operations, aligned with industry best practice.
The Irish Post Awards is an annual event which was created to celebrate the Irish diaspora’s impact and contribution in Britain.
The event took place in the Grosvenor House Hotel, hosted by Eamonn Holmes supported by Country Music star Lisa McHugh
VGC were honoured to be recognised for our ethical and sustainable approach to providing a skilled workforce to major infrastructure projects nationally, and our social impact programmes that ensure we leave a positive lasting legacy in the communtiies we work in beyond the construction phase. Some of these include:
- Delivering over £28 million in social value with our social impact activities. (Based on government TOMs calculations) (an increase from £22m in 2023)
- Investing over £550k into training for our workforce through the VGC academy, including our CMI accredited management & leadership programmes, apprenticeships, NVQs & technical training.
- Engaging with over 10,000 young people over the last three years through our schools engagement, work experience and internship programmes.
