VGC provided the civil engineering scope of work for signalling work associated with integrating the new Crossrail route into the existing network within Slough area.

The works included replacing over 50km of precast concrete trough routes, and cleaning and refurbishing a further 13 km of existing route, with associated vegetation and ballast clearance and new ballast board retaining structures.

VGC also installed more than 50 signalling location foundations, incorporationg hard-standing, staging on pile foundations and associated retainign structures, and foundations for five signal structures and five 12-way and four under-track crossings.
