VGC is supplying logistics staff to support Mace in its management of the luxury shop fit-outs in Terminal 5 of Heathrow airport.

Our teams ensure that deliveries are made to site safely and on time, and manage safe access to and around the site. Staff also carry out driving duties and traffic management.

VGC also provides site first aiders, and our safety staff are involved with fire point checks, and deliver daily briefs to subcontractors.

The £4 billon Terminal 5 at London’s Heathrow airport opened in 2008 and is currently used exclusively as one of the three global hubs of International Airlines Group, served by British Airways and Iberia.

The largest free-standing structure in the UK, it was designed to handle 35 million passengers per year. It provides a wide range of facilities for travellers, including restaurants, shops, hotels, car hire services, business services, parking and bureaux de change facilities.

Mace Logistics manages the fit-out of luxury shops in the terminal and VGC provides logistics staff to support Mace’s operations.

VGC is authorised to issue security clearance passes for work at Heathrow airport, including those for airside working, and has worked at Heathrow for many years in landside and airside locations.
