VGC was contracted by client Murphy to construct lay-down areas for the HS2 compound in Euston.

We constructed six lay-down areas for plant, machinery and track equipment.

Scope:

  • Site surveys, setting out and dilapidation reports
  • Site clearance including excavations and mass earthworks
  • Installation of type 1 laydown areas and through-roads connecting the different areas of the compound.

HS2 enabling EustonThe location, in the Network Rail compound area between the Euston mainline and the Camden line, required careful planning for safe access to avoid any delays on the running line.

We finished on time and on budget, allowing the next phase of the HS2 compound works by Murphy to proceed as planned.

This project was part of the HS2 civils enabling work for Network Rail. The area will provide essential storage for HS2 construction.
