We are supporting client EKFB on HS2 sections C2 – C3.
We’re working as part of a collaborative labour desk with partners Danny Sullivan Group, Reliable, Carmichael, McGinleys and Venesky Brown to supply skilled trades and labour. Labour manager Kayleigh Boxley supports our team on the project.
Together, the labour desk partners provide
- standard terms of business, agreed rates, and a single timesheet process
- checks to ensure all hires comply with relevant legislation
- a single point of contact for recruiting external trades, labour operatives, and professional and technical staff
The early stages of the project involve substantial earth-moving, so the people we are supplying are mostly experienced plant operators, site supervisors and gangers.
About the project
Lots C2 and C3 of HS2 phase one are an 80km section of the rail link, running between the Chilterns in outer London and Warwickshire. They include 15 viaducts, 81 bridges, 6.9km of green tunnels, and 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
At Wendover, the project team will create a cut and cover ‘green’ tunnel. The Chilterns tunnel will be built using two tunnel boring machines. It will be 10 miles long, and will take three years to build.
