We provide skilled trades and labour to three key clients for a series of upgrades of the M20.

Our teams work on vegetation clearance, drainage, profiling verges and banks, and placing blocks for retaining walls adjacent to the motorway.

They also undertake piling works, construction of noise barriers, and upgrading the emergency refuge areas and central reservation. We are also constructing new gantries for the motorway signs and signals.

We provide ongoing safety training to our teams, as well as mental wellbeing sessions delivered by our charity partner State of Mind Sport.

Upgrading the M20 between junction 3 and junction 5 to an all-lane running smart motorway

Working for client Kier, our workforce is assisting in works to convert the hard shoulder to a permanent fourth lane, and associated change to the junctions. Our teams are improving the drainage, upgrading the central reservation, replacing gantries for new signs and signals, and installing five emergency refuges.

The Highways England project to convert this section into a smart motorway will give greater capacity and more reliable journey times.

M20 jn10a Creating a new junction 10a and link road to the A2070

Our teams are working for client Vinci JV on creating the new junction. The project includes a new roundabout over the motorway, slip roads, and a new link road to the A2070. There will be traffic signals and two new three-lane bridges, as well as two new footbridges.

This £104.4m Highways England project creates a new gyratory over the M20 south of junction 10. This will reduce congestion, and support development and improve noise and air quality for the Ashford area. It will also make the roads safer, by helping to separate local from long-distance traffic and providing safer crossings over the M20.

Upgrading the section between junctions 7 and 9

During 2018 our teams worked on resurfacing the M20 between junctions 7 and 9 for client Balfour Beatty.
