In 2013 VGC refurbished the entrance to London’s prestigious Pullman Hotel in St Pancras.

We were engaged by the principal contractor, Fileturn, to refurbish the entrance to the hotel. We needed to give it a complete makeover, while at the same time ensuring that access complied with the latest accessibility regulations. The project provided new and improved access into the main reception and also to the hotel’s Golden Arrow restaurant.

exterior of the Pullman hotelOur scope included removal of redundant cladding, reinforced concrete construction to accept new finishes and architectural features, provision of drainage and the installation of high quality granite paving and stairs. The paving we installed extends out to the adjoining pavement using black granite with white granite borders. All work was undertaken while the hotel was still open, so we maintained strict procedures to control dust and noise.

Located only a few minutes from Bloomsbury and St Pancras International railway station, this vibrant hotel has recently been transformed into one of the city’s premiere venues.

VGC has undertaken high quality paving work throughout the south of England. Projects include natural stone paving works at Covent Garden, St Christopher’s Place in Westminster and paving around Windsor Castle.
