VGC Academy is highly commended in REC awards

VGC was Highly Commended for the REC People Development Business of the Year award.

The award is for the organisation with the best people development strategy.

Our entry describe VGC’s culture of continuous learning, improvement and innovation, and explained why and how we created the VGC Academy.

The REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) Awards showcase the UK’s recruitment talent, recognising achievement across different levels, disciplines and categories.

The award was won by Amoria Bond. You can see the full list of winners on the REC website.

Chief operating officer Ciara Pryce said: “At VGC, we are proud of our culture of continuous learning, improvement and innovation. I’m particularly grateful to our HR and training team for the work they continue to put in to make the VGC Academy a success.

“We want to help staff to be the best they can be, and this shortlisting is further confirmation that industry leaders agree that we are doing the right thing.”

REC awards Highly Commended
The REC awards were presented at an event at the Royal Lancaster London on 25 November. VGC was represented by chief operating officer Ciara Pryce, HR adviser Alice Dupree, client engagement manager Ciaran Alstowe and head of HR Laura Perry.

So far in 2021 VGC has already received an Inspire award for Most Inspiring Employer. We are also shortlisted for the Construction News award for Training Excellence and Highly Commended for the CN Specialist award for Training Excellence. See our awards web page for a full list of awards.
