Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May 2026) is a reminder that mental health matters just as much as physical health, at work and beyond.
At VGC, this is something we take seriously, not just this week, but as part of how we support people day to day.
We know that work, life changes, and job uncertainty can all affect how people feel. Whether you’re on site, between roles, or looking for your next opportunity, it’s important to know that support is available.
Mental health can be affected by work, life changes, or uncertainty — something most people experience at some point. Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or low at times is part of being human. But if those feelings start to build or become harder to manage, speaking to someone or accessing support can make a real difference.
There isn’t one way to look after your mental health. For some, it’s about taking time to reset. For others, it’s about reaching out and talking things through. What matters is recognising when you might need support and knowing where to find it.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Mental Health Foundation has shared a range of practical resources to help people better understand and manage their wellbeing.
You can explore their guidance here.
