VGC apprentice Lee Van-Cliff has won the Morgan Sindall Prize for the Best Performing Second-Year Student for Construction Operations, awarded by the Building Crafts College.
Contracts manager Chris O’Sullivan said: “Lee is punctual and hard-working, and is a valued member of our team. We’re delighted that he has won this well-earned award – his supervisor, Nick Wells, was at the prizegiving ceremony at the Carpenters’ Hall last night (20 November) to see him collect it from the BBC’s Dan Cruickshank, and all his colleagues on site have been congratulating him today.”
Lee works for VGC Labour Solutions on the Whitechapel Crossrail project (for Balfour Beatty Morgan Vinci JV), attending college at the Stratford Building Craft Centre one day per month. He has gained his CSCS card and is now working towards his NVQ Level 2 in Basic Construction Skills.
