Zero Harm improvement award

Zero Harm improvement award

VGC has been awarded Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm improvement award. This was in recognition of our successful management of safety on the M25 project.

We achieved this by providing positive support to Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm programme, and consistently improving the safety culture of our workforce.

VGC recently introduced a programme of behaviour based safety training. This underpins our commitment to continual improvements in safety performance. The programme operates from board level through to front-line staff, and promotes the benefits of strong leadership, coaching, and personal responsibility in relation to safety.

The photograph shows VGC Group Chairman Sean Fitzpatrick accepting the award from Steve Tarr, managing director of Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering.

There is more information about the award on the Irish Post website.
