Promotions in our VGC Personnel team

The VGC Personnel team is celebrating three recent promotions.

Delivering results

Matt Teasdale is now delivery director for VGC Personnel. Despite the hurdles posed by COVID and IR35 (a set of off-payroll working rules that came into force for companies like VGC in April this year), as head of personnel Matt maintained stability and ambition among his team. He continues to grow the business every year.

The company faces ongoing challenges, including a tighter labour market and the impact of Brexit. However, Matt and his team are confident they will deliver for VGC, and continue to secure the best talent for the UK’s major infrastructure projects.

Stepping up to senior recruitment consultant

Recruitment consultants Daniel Templeton and Anthony Fender, who both joined VGC Personnel in 2017, have each been promoted to senior recruitment consultant.

Daniel works strenuously to support major infrastructure projects, especially within highways, nuclear, energy and water, for main contractors such as Morgan Sindall and Bam Nuttall. One of his chief responsibilities involves filling key technical and professional positions to make sure the projects run smoothly.

Anthony has demonstrated excellent teamwork skills across the whole of VGC’s rail business. He supports key infrastructure contracts such as the Silvertown Tunnel and major Network Rail projects including East Coast Mainline and the TransPennine upgrade.

Achieving potential

Chief executive Laurence Mckidd said: “I’m delighted to announce these important promotions for VGC Personnel, which is clearly in very safe hands.

“Matt Teasdale has demonstrated great leadership through a difficult period for everyone. Daniel Templeton and Anthony Fender have both supported the development of the whole team. At the same time, they have increased their weekly billings and significantly grown key accounts including Siemens, Volker Rail and Morgan Sindall.

“Well done to everyone in the VGC Personnel team.”
