We are delighted to welcome Andrew O’Callaghan to VGC Projects as contracts director.
Andrew is an experienced and forward-thinking CIPS-qualified professional with over 20 years of experience.
He comes to us from Skanska, where he has been for over 12 years. Before that he worked for Kier and Laing O’Rourke. He has worked in supply chain management supporting clients such as Highways England, Crossrail and Network Rail.
Working closely with Jacques Kriel, managing director, and the senior leadership team, Andrew’s experience and expertise will support our planned growth. He will make sure our delivery capability for new workstreams is strategically aligned with our clients’ needs.
Jacques Kriel said: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to our expanding team. Even under some of the most challenging conditions in the last 12 months, VGC Projects has continued to grow and secured a strong pipeline of work. This appointment is a clear indication that we are investing in our growth plans.
“Andrew will be a key member of our senior leadership team to ensure we continue to ‘go beyond’ our clients’ expectations in all areas.”
VGC has successfully carried out numerous specialist projects, such as
- public realm improvement works in Andover

- HS2 road-rail access point (RRAP) design and build
as well as several projects as part of Crossrail Anglia, plus new sub-station infrastructure at Shenfield and Gidea Park, for which they won five Network Rail stars.
Teams are currently working on contracts across the south-east, including a series of emergency refuge areas on the M25, fibre broadband installation and Northern line power upgrade works.
