To start the meeting, chairman Sean Fitzpatrick welcomed new starters, and congratulated Rebecca Parfitt on her promotion to business support lead.
Laurence Mckidd, our chief executive, discussed the budget, showing how we have recovered strongly from COVID. We are on track for a record year in 2021, and expect to keep growing strongly. This is because of how we lead the way in delivering for our clients.
Delivery director Richard Palin described the work of the new power and process division. It started in January and is growing rapidly.
Laura Perry, head of HR, gave an update on the VGC Academy. The courses successfully switched to online learning during COVID, and people have given very positive feedback. Since the VGC Academy behavioural courses started in October 2019
- 94% of office staff have completed the foundation course
- 50% of staff have completed the intermediate course
- 38% of managers have completed the management course.
COO Ciara Pryce answered questions sent in by staff, and congratulated Marilu Pittelli, Mark Davies and James Andrews on their new babies. She also congratulated people on long service awards:
- Elaine Ryan – 15 years
- Tommy Hunter and Nirvana Murray – 10 years,
