VGC Group has entered the second half of 2026 with continued growth, a strengthened business structure and a clear strategy for the years ahead. At the company’s June staff update, colleagues from across the business came together to celebrate their people and hear where VGC is heading next.
VGC has grown steadily across the first half of 2026, welcoming ten new starters since January.
Following the acquisition of CareerForces, the business also welcomed Andy Howe and Fay Coleman, adding real depth in veteran recruitment and workforce consultancy.
This follows a record year in 2025 and a strong start to 2026. With new client opportunities and a healthy pipeline of work. The focus now is sustainable growth and dependable workforce solutions across the infrastructure sector.
The update also introduced VGC’s new recruitment operations structure, developed with Kitto.
Bringing VGC Staffing, VGC Professionals, CareerForces and VGC Impact under one clear structure makes it easier for clients, candidates and employees to see the full range of services VGC provides.
It also means a simpler route to the right expertise, from skilled labour and professional recruitment to veteran employment and social value programmes, all through one partner.
What’s next for VGC
VGC set out its direction for the next three years: strengthening the core business, staying agile across regions, diversifying into new markets and exploring international opportunities, including Australia.
Investment in data, digital technology and AI will support smarter decisions and a better experience for clients, candidates and employees alike.
None of those ambitions happen without people, and the update took time to recognise the colleagues making them possible.
Colleagues were celebrated for promotions, role changes and personal milestones, alongside long service awards marking five, ten, fifteen and twenty years with VGC. Go Beyond Awards recognised individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to colleagues, clients and projects.
The latest employee survey results were also shared, with positive feedback on respect, communication and wellbeing.
Colleagues will receive a full breakdown, along with the actions being taken in response.
Beyond individual careers, VGC keeps investing in apprenticeships, the VGC Academy and workforce development, creating opportunities at every stage while supporting the long-term skills needs of the industry.
Social value remains an important part of VGC’s approach. The company shared an update on fundraising for the British Heart Foundation and introduced Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund as VGC’s charity partner for the next two years.
Colleagues can get involved through a programme of activities, including an upcoming zipline challenge.
The meeting closed with a look ahead to further growth, client projects and company events, including a night at the races and the annual Christmas celebration.
As VGC continues to grow, its focus remains the same: supporting clients with trusted workforce solutions, creating meaningful career opportunities and making a positive impact across the communities it serves.
