Some safety hazards in construction
We want to be sure that everyone goes home safe and well at the end of every shift.
We want you to retire when you want to, rather than being forced to retire because of ill-health.
Our four Be safe rules are designed to protect you and your colleagues.
Our industry has substantial risks and safety hazards. We aim to keep those risks as low as possible.
The Health and Safety Executive says:
It is your responsibility to work together with your colleagues and managers to ensure health and safety for all concerned.
Everyone involved in a project has a duty to reportĀ instances where they or others are working in a way that puts them or anyone elseĀ in danger.
The Be safe rules are:
- Be fit for work.
- Get a brief before you start work.
- Report anything unsafe.
- Stop work if anything changes.
